Activities Week 2011

Information booklets regarding Activities Week were distributed to students before half term.

We have tried to consider a fair way to allocate places, ensuring equal opportunity of access. Please be aware that approximately 380 students will each be making between 6 and 9 selections; random allocation is therefore not feasible. Many activities have limited places set by the provider, so students unlucky in achieving their first choice will get priority on their second choice.

Students have been encouraged to return forms in friendships groups which will therefore help support inclusion. If for any reason your child in unable to attend school on the collection day their form may be handed in by a friend or at a later date.

Students who have a learning support key worker will be guided through this process in the weeks leading up to 18 February.  Students with additional needs will be supported to discuss plans with friends and parents will be informed of the outcome of these discussions to help make plans over the holiday.

Application forms and parental permission forms need to be handed to Miss McIntyre at the following times:

Places will be issued on a first-come first-served basis. Your child may not receive their first option if forms are not completed correctly or are handed in late.
