Alex Scarrow Author Event at RGS

Alex Scarrow certainly lived up to his billing as high energy and fast paced. For just over an hour he engaged three hundred boys as he recounted his unconventional path to authorship, read and performed the first two chapters of his first book in the 'Time Riders' series and fielded a wide range of questions on his life and his writing.
The feedback from the event has been fantastic. Typical comments were:
  • 'He makes books sound exciting'
  • 'He has changed how I perceive authors'
  • 'I haven't read any of his books but I might now'
  • 'He was cool!
  • 'Can we have another author please!
And all our copies of his book flying off the shelf indicate that for a sizeable number of students this has been exactly what they needed to encourage them to pick up a book and read.
If you are looking for further books to read you might like to try the following authors/series:-
  • Malorie Blackman:                    Thief!
