Asian Literature Festival success

In April a group of Year 9 and 10 students took part in another successful Asian Literature festival run by Eastside Educational Trust and Asia House.

The students were lead in lively debates on the issue of conformity and discussed some examples of the theme in Asian literature with author and teacher Rosanna Lowe. They then wrote a piece of creative writing based on the theme 'difference and conformity - the danger of a single voice' for a competition. The quality of the students' work was excellent and Molly R's poem, 'They Said, She Said' was shortlisted from over 600 entries. You can read and vote for Molly's entry on the following page:

We would be really grateful for your support so please do vote for Molly by 1pm on 28 June. Winners will be announced on the 29 June.  We hope to take part in the festival again next year so if your child is interested and will be in Year 9 or 10 next year please let me know.
