Design a Sub Competition

Big congratulations to Daniel, James and Andrew in Year 10 who got through to the final of a Bristol-wide Business Studies competition to design a new Subway sandwich to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Subway being in Bristol.

The boys designed the sandwich, worked out the profit margins on it, designed a promotional campaign and then after reaching the final, delivered a 20 minute presentation to a panel of judges. They came in second place and got very positive feedback from the judges, an extract of which is below:

"Thank you very much for taking the time to attend the pitch, we thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the delicious Decade Sub and marketing plan. Your ideas were very well constructed and presented so it was a very tough job to pick one winner from the pack. You should all be very proud of your achievement and we would like to thank you again for participating in the scheme".

The presentation they delivered was very impressive. They showed great confidence, were articulate and explained their business idea clearly and professionally. On the day the judges told them that they were a credit to RGS - and I agree with them whole heartedly. Well done boys!
