GCSE Presentation Evening: Congratulations to last Year's Year 11 Students

On Thursday, 22 November 2012 we held our second ever GCSE Presentation Evening. All of last year's Year 11 cohort, and their families, were invited to attend this celebration of their fantastic achievements and to be presented with their exam certificates.
Despite the best efforts of the weather, people showed great perseverance and resilience in making it to school, and none more so that our keynote speaker Dave Roberts who battled his way from Cardiff. Dave is a GB Paralympic Swimmer who has won 11 gold medals. His inspirational speech was very well received, hopefully motivating everyone there to reach for their goals, work hard and do everything they can to overcome obstacles or challenges put in their way. The audience had the chance to ask him lots of questions and to see, hold and have photos taken with his Beijing gold medal and paralympic torch at the end of the evening.
The main stars of the evening were still our ex-Year 11 students and congratulations and best wishes went to each one of them for their futures.
