Governing Body Announcement

Redland Green School Governing Body would like to thank all staff, students and parent/carers for participating in the recent consultation process considering Academy status.  We really appreciate the constructive and good nature of all discussions that have taken place, and value the contributions that have been made. They have all informed our decisions.

The Governing Body decided at its meeting held on the 27th March 2012 that it is in the best interest of the Redland Green School community that we should apply for Academy status.

Subject to further detailed work over the coming months involving discussion with RGS staff, their unions, the local authority, the Department for Education and our partner schools, a final decision on Academy conversion would then be made in the Autumn dependent on the Funding Agreement being agreed and signed.

We will continue to inform staff, parent/carers and students of our progress during this time. For further information, please see the Executive Summary of the consultation document.
