Great Sporting Success for Terms 1 and 2 at Redland Green

For the first time in the school’s history we have progressed from the North Bristol pool stages in both rugby and netball at every age group.

We are North Bristol League winners in the following:

Rugby: Year 7 and Year 10

Netball: Year 8, Year 10 and Year 11

We are the North Bristol League runners-up in the following:

Rugby: Year 8, Year 9 and Year 11

Netball: Year 7 and Year 9

The winners went directly into the Bristol Schools Semi-Finals while the runners-up had to play a triangular play-off match to decide the fourth semi-finalist.

All matches were played on Friday, 9 December.

Other Results:

The boys in Year 10 and Year 11 have had an additional triumph in successfully qualifying for the County Super 8's Competition. The finalists from the cup competitions in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES now play in a knockout competition. It is a fantastic achievement to qualify for this competition where the standard of rugby and netball (across an area that was previously Avon) is excellent.

Congratulations to all those students who have trained and competed to make the teams so successful. Best of luck in the forthcoming matches.
