Headteacher of RGS, Receives Award from Mayor of Bristol

Before the end of term Headteachers and Principals from primary, secondary, early years and special needs schools around Bristol were invited to a tea with the Lord Mayor at Mansion House. This was an event to celebrate educational achievements in the City.

Headteachers recieved an award from the Lord Mayor if they were leaving their role, had improved their Ofsted grade or made an outstanding contribution to improving the learning provision of children and young people in Bristol

Sarah Baker, Headteacher of Redland Green School, recieved an award for her role as Chair of Bristol Heads' and Principals' Partnerships (BASHP). BASHP is contributing to Bristol becoming a City of Learning and have run two conference to this end. There is great commitment from all the Headteachers and Principals involved in the organisation that meets around 6 times a year.
