Many congratulations to our Year 11 students at RGS for achieving an outstanding set of Key Stage 4 results which they should feel very proud of. They have worked so effectively as individuals but also as a team to support each other through a tough year which has included significant changes in their English and Maths curriculum. The hard work, effort, resilience and determination that our Year 11 have shown during their time at Redland Green has paid off,  allowing them to achieve outstanding GCSE results. We are very proud of each and every one of them. I would also like to thank all of our staff in providing our students with a first class education delivered with passion and dedication in order to prepare our students effectively for the challenge of GCSEs and beyond, and also to our parents for their continuous support of the school throughout the last 5 years.

We are looking forward to welcoming our Year 11 students to collect their results but also in seeing them go on to have wonderfully bright futures.

The provisional headlines figures are:

Students achieving the Basics (Eng & Maths 5+): 76%

Students achieving 9-7 in English and Maths: 34.9%

Students achieving 9-5 in English (Strong Pass): 88%

Students achieving 9-5 in Maths (Strong Pass): 77.1%

Students achieving 9-4 in Maths (Standard Pass) : 89.1%

Students achieving the EBacc with a Strong Pass: 40.6%

Not only are our overall results very pleasing but we are delighted for our disadvantaged students who this year have achieved results that we know will put them on the road to a very bright future (73% achieving 4+ Basics)

The students who took BTEC courses also excelled with over 60% achieving top grades of Distinction or Distinction*

Whilst we want to celebrate the achievements of our whole cohort as they all deserve this, we should mention that a number of our students achieved simply outstanding results including gaining the new ‘9’ grade in Maths and English:

Eve Szczelkun: 7 A*s and 3 9s
