Book Amnesty!

With the end of the academic year fast approaching we are having a book amnesty for all those books you have 'forgotten' to return or 'borrowed' and forgot to check them out! In particular, if you have any Michael Grant, Jeff Kinney, Robert Muchamore and Malorie Blackman, could you get them back ASAP?

There will be a box from Monday, 15 June in The Vista on the main desk or alternatively you can return them via Reception - no questions asked!

Year 11

Please remember ALL books and resources loaned to you via the Learning Resource Centre need to be returned on Friday, 26 June or on Wednesday, 1st July between 9.00 - 10.45am. All resources must be handed in via The Vista. Books and resources not returned by this date will be invoiced for. Students returning to RGS for Post 16 are reminded that they will be unable to borrow ANY resources until KS4 textbooks and/or library books are returned.

We have started buying DVDs for loan to students in the 11 - 16 Learning Resource Centre. We already have an extensive collection in Post 16. Students can borrow DVDs for 48 hours. Students in KS3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) can only borrow DVDs that are U, PG or 12 rating. Students in KS4 can borrow in addition, films rated 15. Students can search collections by typing DVD into the search box of the OLIVER homepage (accessed through RGS Google Apps).

If students wish to request DVDs (or any books) for purchase please come and see myself in The Vista at break or lunchtime.

Music Scores

One of the resources students asked for when we conducted a survey of library use with Year 7 earlier this year was music scores. We are currently looking at what we can provide.

Learning Resource Centre Website

The website is currently undergoing an overhaul so apologies if information is not where you expect. The e-resources page is updated. Please take a look at what we can provide and what is available through the Bristol Library service 24-hour web portal for supporting home learning.
