Tuesday, 16 October: Year 7 Bug Box Project

In science Year 7 students have been researching garden bugs and insects as part of a wider study into the ecology of insects and how they are of benefit in the garden. In design technology students will make a bug box and then put it in their garden at home. Then in the summer term they will count how many bugs are in their boxes and graph the results in mathematics. In science, at the end of the year, they will evaluate their project and analyse the results. All this information will be put into one big project and students will be marked on their work.

Monday, 15 October: World Space Week Poster Competition

Last week we celebrated World Space Week and students were busy working on posters for the World Space Week poster competition. They had to choose an exoplanet (an exoplanet is a planet that is outside of our solar system) and make a poster that describes why it is suitable for life. Watch this space for the winning posters!
