Passarinho Performing in the St. Pauls Carnival

Passarinho, the Redland Green School Samba Group, are performing in the St. Pauls Carnival on Saturday, 3 July. The students have been busy preparing over the last term and experts from The Bristol Samba School have been helping them perfect their preparations.

The group decided on the name 'Passarinho' as it means 'bird' in Brazilian. Redland Green School Mentor Groups are named after different birds, so the students felt this name fitted in well. The students have spent lots of time, alongside rehearsing, choosing a bird to represent at the carnival and designing head dresses to wear on the day.

If you would like to come and watch Passarinho they would love to have your support! The procession starts at 1.00pm on Saturday, 3 July and more information about the route is available at the Carnival website.
