RGS Bike Club Watch Final Nail Biting Stage of Tour of Britain Race!

Mr Bailey and Mr Williams recently took 22 RGS Bike Club students to watch the final stage of the Tour of Britain cycle race.

The ninth edition of The Tour of Britain race took place over eight days in September. The route of the UK’s biggest professional cycle race and the country’s largest free-to-spectate live sporting event, visited England, Scotland and Wales and showcased some of Britain's best scenery and roads.

The sixth stage of the race was held between Cheddar and Wells and was nail-biting and full of drama, with the students witnessing a spectacular crash of the lead cyclist on the finishing line, which then let Lars Boom snatch the title and win the race.
