RGS Internal Heat of Rotary Young Chef 2012

Congratulations to: Georgia C, Freddie E, Georgia H, Priya K, Megan L, Ben L, Ellie M, Ella M and Cameron W for being selected and competing in this years' RGS internal heat of the Roatary Young Chef competition.
The standard, skills and quality surpassed all previous years making it especially difficult for the judges, Ms Baker, Mr Maule and visiting sous chef Nicolas Manchematin, to select their winners. Ultimately there did have to be a winner and a runner-up and this year first place went to Ben L for his menu of:
  • Stuffed Cypriot chicken on a bed of pan-fried asparagus and vine tomatoes with spicy cous cous with
  • a white chocolate mint mousse with homemade shortbread biscuit.
Runner- Up was Ella M with her menu of:
  • Pork saltimbocca served with a green salad, pine nuts and dressing with new potatoes with
  • petit frangipane tart & cream.
Both of these budding young chefs will now represent Redland Green School in the North Bristol heat of the Rotary Young Chef competition on 12 November.
