RGS Wins Local Rotary ‘Youth Speaks’ Competition

On Wednesday, 11 November, the Redland Green School Intermediate Public Speaking Team took part in the Rotary "Youth Speaks" competition at Clifton High School.

The team were: Chairperson – Ellie Drake, Speaker – Siena Jackson-Wolfe, and Proposer of the Vote of Thanks – Kai Damani.

The team’s choice of topic, “Should 16 year olds be given the vote?” developed detailed and thought-provoking ideas into a strong argument, something that made a clear impression on the judges. The students’ thorough preparation, excellent delivery and highly supportive teamwork led the team to victory over stiff competition. The students will now go on to the district final in Gloucestershire in February 2016. Congratulations!
