RGS a Winner in the Educational Outcomes Awards 2014

We are delighted to announce that RGS and its students have been commended for our excellent GCSE results in 2013.

We have received national recognition for the high attainment of our students in the 2013 GCSE examinations. This recognition comes from The Schools Network, the SSAT, which completed an analysis of official Department for Education data on all state funded schools in England, and identified that RGS was in the top 20% of non-selective schools nationally for high average grades achieved by students.

The school has therefore been invited to receive an Educational Outcome Award at a celebration ceremony hosted by SSAT at Waverley School in Birmingham on 4 June 2014.

Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT said:

“Redland Green should be congratulated for their exceptional achievement. They have proved themselves to be leading the field in improving GCSE outcomes for their students. There is so much good practice that this school could share, and I hope many schools will join us at the celebration ceremony for the chance to network and share strategies with award-winning schools.

“These results are testament to the commitment and hard work of the students, teachers and leadership team at Redland Green, and show what can be achieved when skilled teachers have high expectations and ambition for every young person. I am proud that this school is a member of the SSAT network.”

Sarah Baker, Headteacher of Redland Green School commented, “We are delighted to have won this Educational Outcome Award. These are wonderful results that reflect the outstanding hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of our students who have risen to meet the aspirational challenges we set them. They are also a clear indication of the commitment and effort that our teachers and support staff show all of our students.”
