Red Nose Day Update

Red Nose Day 2011

We had a very successful week of fundraising for Comic Relief. The Student Research Council spearheaded the activities and we would like to say a special thank you to the following students: Saako, Joe, Issi, Rith, Angus, Alex, Maisie, Saskia, Fay, Anna, Rosie, Ellie, Niall, Jake, Jacob, Otis, Flo, Annie, Chrissie, Emily, Eliot, Isaac, Lucy, Jacques, Gabriel, Abel, Kate, Katie, Austin, Rosie, Jess, Dexter, Thomas, Archie, George, Priya, Bernie, Tilly, Rosie, Esme, Lucy, Ishana and Megan.

The students organised the following activities. The amount in brackets is the money each activity raised for charity: film club (£18), henna hand painting (£65.20), red nose selling (£300), gunge the teacher (£88.63), staff car wash (£90.10), non-uniform money (£881.46) and Post-16 fundraising (£62.27) giving us a Grand Total of £1,505.66. Well done everyone!!

Here are some photographs of the activities. Special thanks to all staff who agreed to be gunged, especially Mr Jump and Dr Horleston who were great sports on the day. Another special mention goes to the Year 7 girls who ran henna hand painting all week. They worked really hard every lunchtime and they also donated their own resources to the activity.
