Year 10 Update

Daily Mail Vase Competition

The Year 10s played Ashton Park in the third round of this national competition. The team started well with a darting solo run from Harry through the heart of the Ashton defence, which opened the scoring and was converted by Luigi. Luigi had an outstanding game and added to the score line with a further three conversions and two tries. Other try scorers were Ben and Connor. We play Clifton College in the next round.

Bristol Schools Cup

The Year 10s have reached the final of the competition beating St Bede's 48 - 7. Despite a slow start the team began to dominate at the breakdown and secure quick possession. St Bede's played good rugby throughout the game but lacked the power and consistency to break our defence. Final score 48 - 7. Try scorers were Dylan, Dan, Ben, Kabir, Harry, Jack and Ben (2). Cons: Luigi (4).

The Year 10s will play City Academy in the final on 11 December; a repeat of last year's final. They also go onto the super 8s, a new competition where the finalists from Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES play off against each other to provide a regional champion.

Year 8 Update

Bristol Schools Plate

The Year 8s started their desire to become plate champions with an emphatic win over Fairfield. Final Score 48 - 5. Try scorers: Archie (3), Max, Mike, Joe and Ben (2). Cons: Max (4). With a bye in the first round they will play the winners of Orchard and Oasis Bristol in the semi final.
