Redland Green School

RGS Bristol

Shakespeare Schools Festival

The Shakespeare Schools Festival proved to be a fun and engaging evening, which began with a strong performance by Colston’s Girls’ School, who performed a Midsummer Night’s Dream. A tough act to follow for Redland Green with King Lear; however, they gave Colston’s a run for their money with an array of acting skills that complemented each other very well, which led to an overall success.

The morning of the performance the cast went to the Tobacco Factory where they did the technical rehearsal. Here they worked with the crew to make sure the lighting and music fitted with the play. When this was sorted they performed their dress rehearsal to Colston’s Girls’ School. By the end of the dress rehearsal, Redland Green had a fantastic play to put forward for the Shakespeare Festival.
