Our hall of fame currently includes:

We are aware there is huge amount of sporting talent at Redland Green School and we would like to get as many photos on our Hall of Fame as possible. If you would like your photograph to be included in the Hall of Fame please speak to Miss Diment in the PE department. If you have a t-shirt, vest, medal etc. we could include in your photograph please bring these along with you (see example above).

We also have a number of students at school who are excelling so much in their sport that they have the potential to be our future Olympians.

James in Year 10 has recently been accepted in the Royal Yachting Association National Junior Squad. The purpose of the RYA National Junior Squad is to feed talented sailors into the Youth and Olympic Programmes. It offers the sailor’s access to a highly subsided World Class National Training Programme, designed to help them go on to achieve International and Olympic success in the future. The squad is made up of 24 of the best junior sailors in the country and the training includes 'on-the-water' sailing training and advice on sports science, physiology, fitness, meteorology, nutrition, hydration, growth and maturation.

Tom in Year 7 is a National level tennis player. He finished 14th in the UK, joint 1st in the region and 1st in the county last season. Tom trains for 15 hours a week and for the past three years has qualified for the National County Cup finals as part of the County Cup squad. Last season he qualified for entry to the Grade 1 National Masters finals in Roehampton, London.

These are fantastic achievements and we wish James and Tom all the best with their training and competitions in the upcoming season. Look out for them in Rio or the 2020 Olympics!
