Tales from 1001 Arabian Nights

Redland Green School will be performing Tales from 1001 Arabian Nights in March this year.

The production will be shown in the school hall on Wednesday, 10 March, Thursday, 11 March and Friday, 12 March. Performances start at 7.30pm and all are welcome to come along and enjoy the production.

Around 75 students from Years 7 to 10 are involved in the show, with roles ranging from actors to lighting engineers to stage crew to programme designers.

The Tales are a collection of folk and fairy stories from India, Persia and Arabia. Each night, to save her life, Shahrazad tells one tale to her new husband the King, who wishes to kill her the following morning. She does not manage to finish the story before dawn, so she is saved until the following day. They are a collection of magical tales, many with a moral message.

Tickets will be available in February from school reception.
