Welcome to the Lord Mayor and our New Minibus!

Today at Redland Green School we were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Alistair Watson, who along with Mike Norton, Editor of the Bristol Post, handed over the keys to our shiny new minibus that we recently won!

Thank you very much to Renishaw and the Bristol Post for our lovely new bus. It will provide the School and our students and staff with a wealth of new opportunities.

Sarah Baker, Headteacher stated, "Everyone at Redland Green is delighted that we won the minibus. What a wonderful start to the new academic year. Thank you to all our parents, staff, students and supporters that helped us collect the vouchers! This will really make a difference to the day-to-day learning and activities of our students. We will be able to take them out on educational trips and sporting activities at a moments notice and give our students more opportunities for learning outside school and enrichment."

Steve Bailey, our Subject leader of PE, added, "The bus will allow the PE department to broaden its sporting provision and transport students to more fixtures and educational visits. We managed to collect lots of vouchers through the support of students, parents and staff. My thanks goes out to all those who sent vouchers into school - we collected around 2000 vouchers in total!"
