Whitehall Internship Programme

Two of our Year 12 students, Haajarah (ex-Fairfield School) and Adam (ex-Henbury School) have been successfully selected for the Whitehall Social Mobility Internship Programme, which takes place in August 2012.

Adam will be working with global investment bank JP Morgan for 2 weeks where he can build upon his interest in finance and economics. Haajarah will carry out a work experience placement in a Whitehall government department for 2 weeks where she can learn more about the Civil Service. This initiative is run by the Social Mobility Foundation, in conjunction with the Civil Service.

With both of these programmes, there will be evening events for students to experience London living and to develop their skill set further. One of our students who was selected for the programme last year said, “Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the Internship Programme and would recommend anyone to apply for it. I met some really nice people and took away a lot of positive valuable experience that I will carry with me into the future”.

We wish both students the best of luck with their Internships and look forward to hearing how they got on.
