Congratulations to Year 8 student Will, who recently won the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition (for his age group), as well as being shortlisted for the British wildlife photography awards.

Will’s interest in photography started developing around 6 years ago after borrowing his Dad’s camera and his talent and passion for photography has grown from there. He has his own website that showcases his work, and on here he states that he enjoys photography as a hobby but he has now begun to dig deeper into the art of photography.

In order to take this gift further and develop his skills, Will has been working with Mr Williams, RGS Teacher of ADT and photography. Will has been set challenges that encourage him to look at new ideas and techniques of photography. Together with the feedback Mr Williams has given him, this has helped Will to learn more about his camera and photography in general.

A recent project Will has been working on is some photographs for the National Historic Ships photography competition. He is also working on a special school related project, so watch this space for future updates!
