Great success for Redland Green Post-16 Students

Another fantastic year for Redland Green Post-16 Students

2018 has proved to be another very successful year for students at the Redland Green Learning Community of the North Bristol Post-16 Centre.  Hard work and commitment from the students (as well as staff across the Centre) have resulted in outcomes which students can be very proud of.  A level results show that students have risen to the challenge of the new linear examination style, and have comfortably exceeded national averages for the number of top grades achieved.

Special congratulations go to all 26 students at Redland Green Learning Community who achieved 3 or more A/A* A level grades, and a further 3 who achieved the equivalent in other Level 3 courses.  This number includes 7 students who achieved 3 or more A* grades at A level - an outstanding achievement!!

The excellent results have meant that a very large majority of our students have taken up their first choice of university places, with well over half of UCAS applicants heading to Russell Group institutions.  This includes Alex, Ben, George, Katie and Tom who will take up places at Oxford/Cambridge Universities, as well as Izzy, Jessie, Jess and Sabrina who will begin their medical studies. In addition to university destinations we have also supported students successfully into apprenticeships, Art Foundation courses, organised Gap Year activities, and a range of diverse employment opportunities.

We look forward to further success in the coming year, and to welcoming our new Year 12 students.  For more information about the North Bristol Post-16 Centre, including how to apply, please see www.nbp16c.org.uk.
