Temporary Teacher of Mathematics Full Time, 1 Year Fixed Term Contract (to cover a sabbatical)

This is an exciting opportunity to teach in one of the highest achieving schools in Bristol. We expect and challenge our students to achieve their very best in their formal lessons and in all aspects of their learning in school. Pupils achieve highly and enjoy Mathematics at all Key Stages including P16. Redland Green is one of the two learning communities in the North Bristol Post 16 Centre successfully providing outstanding learning for 850 students. Redland Green School is a very special place to work and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team.

Pupils achieve highly and enjoy mathematics across all key stages. 44% of last year’s year 11 students gained a 9-7 and 93% gained 9-4 in Mathematics and at A level 71% of students gained A*-B. As part of the North Bristol Post-16 centre, Redland Green currently teach 10 ‘A’ level groups including a large and thriving further mathematics classes. As an indication of the mathematical ability of Redland Green students, it is usual that each year when we sit the UKMT Maths Challenges, a number of students will progress through to the invitation only rounds of the competitions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher, to join a highly committed department, who is willing to teach across the age and ability range.
